The Wicked

The Wicked is a couple of different stories in one. It's a journey of self-discovery -- like so many Wicked movies, it tells the tale of a woman whose friends think she's a prude but whose true nature is that of a lustful libertine with no limits, an unfettered slut with a raging appetite for men, women, creatures of every convenient size, objects of every provenance, et cetera, and in the course of her experiences she finds out that she can indulge every lust that crosses her mind and some that haven't yet but will before the movie is over.

Also, there are monsters.

It's hard to tell in the beginning (and in the middle) if they are vampires or werewolves or what, but, for a number of reasons, my guess is vampires. Vampires are, as monsters go, very sexy, what with the night and the sucking and whatnot, and there seems to be a lot of nighttime in this movie, although that's good territory for werewolves too. The first scene, a soft-focus tryst in the desert, gives us a little hint of what's going on (if you haven't read the cover copy), as Scarlett Fay and Aaron Wilcox frolic on a blanket, after which Scarlett gets first terrified and then killed.

Kaylani Lei and Barrett Blade (who both have some movie experience with being vampires, in The Accidental Hooker and Dark Angels 2, respectively) head up the bunch of wild kids heading out to the desert for a Burning Man-style festival. Kaylani is just coming off a bad breakup -- catching the boyfriend in bed with a hooker is bad, right? -- and needs to work some things out, and Barrett Blade is a longtime friend who sees her pain and wants a piece of her rebound. The rest of the kids in the van are the typical third bananas -- a girl who's always drunk, a Shaggy-type paranoid conspiracy theorist -- you know them well. The conspiracy theorist…well, you'll find out. Stormy Daniels also livens up the action as a monster hunter with a big chip on her shoulder.

The two stories more or less intermingle as Kaylani starts to express her lustful side -- I can't say for sure, but the presence of vampires and so much darkness may be bringing it out. In any case, there's lots of fucking, both from Kaylani and from her friends, all of which ends in orgasms and some of which ends in bloody, violent death. I'm not telling which is which, but the keen observer will be able to see it coming when it's about to happen.

The stories, in the long run, do not really matter, though, except in that they confirm my belief that Burning Man is infested by bloodsucking monsters who will make you part of their cult if you relax your vigilance even for a heartbeat. What does matter is the sex, and there is a lot of it. Most of it is either dreamy soft-focus filmed-in-daylight-but-filtered-to-look-like-nighttime sex or grindy-music-with-young-punky-people-doing-some-gritty-fucking sex. Kaylani as usual is energetic and toothsome, and Stormy Daniels is her usual self -- intent and intense as an actress and coolly professional while fucking. The rest of the cast -- Tori Black, Roxy Deville, Mikayla Mendez, Scarlett Fay, AnnaBelle Lee, Jenny Hendrix, and former Digital Playground contract star Sophia Santi, seen here for almost the first time totally nude without her (TM), put on a good show. As usual, Wicked brings a big story to the screen, and achieves a feat that is one of the highest goals a porn company can strive for -- if you happened across this on TV while there wasn't any sex onscreen, you might think for a while that you were watching a real movie.
