If one has read the cover copy of Foreplay, one could be excused for thinking that it consisted of five vignettes, each with its own story, revolving around music, bands, backstage and foreplay. That's because the cover copy says that the movie consists of "five vignettes, each with its own story, revolving around music, bands, backstage and foreplay." What the movie actually consists of is five scenes which have no plot at all, in which the players are often near musical instruments or in places that look like they might have something to do with music (recording studio, stage, lounge where Nick Manning, pretending to be a rock star, is hanging out, um...porch...living room? The music theme breaks down pretty catastrophically toward the end). There's not, comparatively speaking, a lot of foreplay, either -- at least not enough that you or I would think of calling the movie foreplay; if you were hoping to see a couple of hours of slow and sensuous licking and making out and delightful seduction, you might want to look elsewhere.
On the plus side: all the sex is uniformly well-lit and well-shot, and if you buy it to see Lanny Barby, you will get your money's worth. She is in three of the five scenes, performing with Evan Stone, Nick Manning, Audrey Bitoni, and Sascha. The second and fourth scenes star Presley Maddox and Daisy Marie respectively, who are not quite as busty as Barbie and Audrey but carry on the hot tanned-and-tattooed brunette theme.
Scene 1 -- Lanny Barbie, Evan Stone
No dialogue here to set the scene, but Evan is playing (or at least playing at playing) a guitar as he circles predatorily around Lanny, who preens as he approaches. There's no foreplay, really -- one minute she's just showing off, and the next, his face is buried in her delta, and they're off to the races. I often wonder why a director would choose Evan Stone for a scene if there's not going to be any dialogue, since he's at his best when he gets to be funny, but he's a solid cocksman as well and always gets the job done. He doesn't get to be funny here, but he does bang Lanny Barby silly, bouncing her and those big hyperinflated tits around the set like there's no tomorrow. She's pretty to look at, and enthusiastic, and the two put on a good show.
Scene 2 -- Presley Maddox, Chris Cannon
Presley Maddox isn't quite as curvy as Lanny, but she does look a lot like Paris Hilton as a brunette. She's not nearly a skanky and irritating, though -- in fact, she's not skanky or irritating at all. She gets to pretend to sing and dance seductively in front of a microphone for about a half-minute as Chris Cannon pretends to do things at a sound board, and then her libido gets the best of her. Ignoring the fact that studio time is very expensive, she heads into the booth to get down with the engineer. There's a little more foreplay than last scene, but it's still a penetration-centric vignette, which is okay because she likes fucking, and it's fun to watch her.
Scene 3 -- Audrey Bitoni, Lanny Barbie, Nick Manning
Nick Manning is apparently meant to be a rock star of some kind (Lanny and Audrey keep calling him Mr. Manning and he is wearing a bathrobe that says Manning on the back, and he is patently not a boxer) who is relaxing by playing some pinball in what is either a backstage lounge or a living room with a pinball machine in it. His idea of foreplay is to tell the girls to get him an apple and play some topless pinball. He gets his apple, but Audrey and Lanny are more interested in getting it on than in playing any kind of pinball at all. The two girls look pretty much alike, except that Lanny's boob job is much, much better, so if you've ever had a fantasy about fucking twins but can't stand the horrifying Lyndsey Love and Lacey Love, this is the scene for you.
Scene 4 -- Daisy Marie, James Deen
Foreplay gives up any pretense of being about music with this scene, which is titled Porch Follies, although it appears to take place in an indoor room. Again, there is no dialogue, no musical instruments, and no hint of why this might be in a music-themed movie. There's a little diddling, but again the foreplay is brief and perfunctory. What this scene does have is the adorable Daisy Marie, a petite Latina with a tight body and a splendid tattoo that covers most of her back. James Deen is his usual scruffy self, and the two seem to get along pretty well -- Daisy says in the BTS that she likes it rough, and Deen delivers it that way.
Scene 5 -- Lanny Barbie, Sascha
Sascha motors right in and grabs Lanny by the tits, which is totally understandable -- for one thing, you get to them a long time before you get to the rest of her -- and gets right to work with a little yodeling in the gully -- actually, a lot of it; he keeps at it for an admirably long time before they break for some cocksucking, which doesn't last for very long. This scene doesn't even have a porch as a setting -- it takes place in what appears to be a pretty standard living. That doesn't slow Sascha or Lanny down -- they fuck just as heartily as if they were backstage (or even on stage), but otherwise this is a pretty standard scene.
In the absence of significant amounts of what the title promises -- musical themes and foreplay -- we are left with a five-scene collection of hot tattooed brunette sex. In that arena, the movie delivers everything you expect of a Vivid film, so if you like Vivid girls and the kind of sex they have, you'll have a good time watching this one.
