David Aaron Clark is a rare director in porn. He actually treats his skin flicks like movies. Using sophisticated editing and very dynamic cameras he manages to bring a life to the images that a majority of skin flicks lack. This doesn't mean that the action immediately heats up and peels the paint from the walls, but it certainly makes the segments more interesting. Dynamic motion that seems studied instead of random (i.e. pans and zooms instead of shaky handheld shots) lends a legitimacy to the work. OK, enough film-school crap. It boils down to this: Asia Noir 2 has some good scenes and some boring scenes, but the boring scenes are less boring because the camera work is interesting. The movie doesn't follow a plot so much as an idea. There's no dialogue, just a sense of fantasy as Lucy Lee pops in and out of scenes with the help of movie magic.

To begin we get a high-concept scene that has too much thought behind it. The behind the scenes feature reveals that this was the last scene shot and the crew is tired. It shows. Joy is dressed up as a vinyl nun chained to a post. Lucy has two horse-hung cock jocks in attendance. Lucy has Joy suck off the two guys, but then the ersatz nun simply watches as Lucy has all the fun. And the action isn't too bad. Lucy shows us her chops by tackling both of the meaty tools these guys present. The pacing is slow, however, and only the dynamic camera (mentioned earlier) keeps things from plodding. We get some good views of Lucy riding reverse cowgirl and doggy style, but for my money they stripped Joy of her nun suit too soon and didn't let her get in on enough of the action. Too tired? Things pick up a bit in the next scene with Chai Sun, a cute lady with a nice body. She's dressed as a nurse and gives Mr. Marcus a bath. He drags her in for some fingering and a blow job. The wet ride is pretty fun. They get splashy as Chai rides his tool and they both seem to have a good time. The camera angles give us good views and the whole sex-in-a-bathtub idea lends a sense of whimsy (if not scorching sensuality) to the scene. Chai takes what Mr. Marcus can give her, which is a lot, and they both make appropriate noises to enhance our viewing. Not bad.

The plot, such as it is, has Maja making out with Lucy. The guy watching from inside, however, can't see Lucy. So, he leads Maja to a swing in the garden (nice location, by the way) and gets a blow job for his trouble. Maja has braces and a good body. Plus she puts on a good show as the guy picks her up for some mid-air cowgirl. Mr. Marcus shows up and replaces the first guy, getting more cowgirl action in mid-air and then on the swing. This is a good time. The reverse cowgirl gives us a great view and Maja is into it. It ends with a standing doggy that's steamy.

The next segment is the most fantasy oriented. The girl is with Tony on a couch. He flosses her pussy with her panties and gives her a little tongue action before getting a hummer. Lucy shows up with a strap on and the girl tag sucks them for a time before it becomes just Lucy getting the blow job, then Tony. This happens throughout the scene. Lucy and Tony swap back and forth with some clever film cuts. The fucking is pretty good. It starts with a pounding doggy style and shifts through a few positions with Tony and Lucy taking turns on the girl. The object of affection is a treat to watch. She's into it and gets that nice faraway look of a well-fucked girl. Good show, but I'd liked to have seen more of her body, she keeps her top half covered throughout the scene.

The final segment has a great start with Lucy leading a leashed Bamboo to a door. Bamboo is in lingerie and on all fours. When Mr. Marcus answers the door, Bamboo tackles him onto the stairs and starts sucking his cock. As I said, great start. Lucy comes over to sit on the guy's face and they stay that way for a while. Then they move to a table and Marcus plows Bamboo and then Lucy. It's a better time with Lucy. Good angles and nicely spread legs. It finishes up with Bamboo doing reverse cowgirl anal with Lucy on nipple and clit duty. The whole thing doesn't live up to the sexy start, unfortunately, but what a beginning.

Overall: Stylish and accomplished, this film lacks in the raw fucking category. Possibly a case of style over substance. Clark understands many tricks of directing that other pornmen don't even bother to learn, but the pacing of the sex scenes tend to drag. He doesn't ramp up from the deliberate lead ins to the wildness of a sex act. Still, it's not a bad disc and it gives us a couple of decent segments to watch.
